Are Steilly Arts candles and wax melts phthalate-free?

Yes! All Steillyarts hand-poured soy candles, tea lights, and wax melts are 100% phthalate-free. We use premium fragrance oils that meet strict IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards. This ensures our home fragrance products are safe and non-toxic, and deliver a clean scent experience for your family.

What are the benefits of natural soy wax candles?

We use natural soy wax because it is a plant-based, renewable resource. Compared to paraffin, soy wax provides a cleaner, longer-lasting burn with significantly less soot. It also holds fragrance better, giving you a superior "scent throw" in your home.

What is Avocado Body Butter?

(Is it the same as the fruit?)

No. Our Avocado Body Butter is a cosmetic-grade skin treatment, not a food product. It is formulated using specialized Avocado Butter and Sweet Almond Oil for deep skin penetration and intense moisture. While it sounds delicious, it is for external use only—please do not consume.

What is the shelf life of your body butter? Since we do not use harsh chemical preservatives, our body butters have a shelf life of 1 to 2 years. To keep your product fresh, always wash and dry your hands before use to prevent introducing bacteria or moisture into the jar.

How do I use a Car Diffuser?

1. Unscrew the wooden lid and remove the plastic safety stopper.

2. Replace the wooden lid securely.

3. Tip the bottle upside down for 2–3 seconds to saturate the wooden lid with fragrance oil.

4. Slide the diffuser clips into a vent and keep the diffuser upright.

Safety Note: Always ensure the bottle stays upright after the initial saturation. Fragrance oil can be corrosive to plastic, dashboards, and upholstery if spilled. Wipe any leaks immediately with a damp cloth.

Soy Wax Melts

 

How do I get the best "throw" from my wax melts?

Place 1–2 cubes of our scented soy wax melts in a high-quality warmer. For the best scent experience, keep the warmer away from drafty windows. Once the fragrance has faded (usually after 8–12 hours of melt time), absorb the liquid wax with a cotton ball and discard it in the trash. Never pour wax down your sink drain.

Room Sprays

How should I use the Room Sprays?

Shake well before each use. Spray 2–3 pumps into the center of the room. We recommend a "patch test" on an inconspicuous area before spraying on linens. Avoid direct contact with eyes, skin, silk, or leather.

Best Use & Skin Care Tips

When is the best time to apply Avocado Body Butter?

For maximum hydration, apply our body butter immediately after showering, while your skin is still slightly damp. This helps the Avocado Butter and Sweet Almond Oil "lock in" the moisture for soft, glowing skin all day.

Jar Care & Sustainability

How do I safely clean my empty candle jars?

 

To protect your plumbing and avoid breaking the glass, follow these steps once only 1/2 inch of wax remains:

1. Cool Down: Ensure the jar is at room temperature. Never put a hot jar in the freezer or under cold water.

2. Scoop: Use a spoon or dull butter knife to pop out the solid wax. Dispose of this in the trash.

3. Wipe: Use a paper towel to remove any waxy residue or soot.

4. Wash: Clean the jar with warm, soapy water.

5. The Finishing Touch: Give the inside a spritz of rubbing alcohol and a final wipe. This cuts through the remaining oils and leaves the glass crystal clear.

 

Can I reuse the jars to make new candles?

No. For your safety, do not refill these jars with new wax and wicks. Glass can become "fatigued" after the original candle has burned. Reusing it for a second candle significantly increases the risk of the jar cracking or shattering due to heat.
